Dr. Proimos undertook his cardiology training at the Austin & Repatriation Hospital from 1992 to 1995. Post graduate training in coronary angioplasty was undertaken at Massachusetts Hospital Boston from 1997 to 1999.
On return to Melbourne, Dr. Proimos established himself as a VMO at the Austin and Box Hill hospitals (where he continues today), as well as having a large private practice at Epworth Richmond. He has admitting rights to both Epworth Richmond and Epworth Eastern. His interests are in acute coronary syndromes, valvular and septal closure procedures.
