Dr. Yew Mun Cheong is a General and Interventional Cardiologist with a particular clinical interest in coronary angiography, balloon angioplasty and coronary stenting.
Dr Cheong completed his interventional fellowship training at the Epworth Hospital, Richmond. He has also completed postgraduate training in CT coronary angiography and is involved in echocardiography.
Presently, Dr. Cheong is involved in the ongoing teaching and training of registrars and resident doctors at Box Hill Hospital.

Dr Cheong is currently a Senior Consultant Cardiologist at Eastern Health / Box Hill Hospital.
He is involved in regular Catheter Laboratory sessions and part of the Interventional on call team for Angioplasty/Stenting in AMI patients, with Box Hill Hospital among one the busiest in Melbourne
Privately he has admitting rights to Knox Private and Epworth Eastern Hospitals and similarly performing invasive coronary procedures in these hospitals. He also treat patients with heart failure, valvular conditions and arrhythmia.
He has been to many Overseas meetings / conferences and is a co-author of journal articles. He is actively involved in teaching/training Registrars and junior doctors at Box Hill Hospital
His patients regard him as a very good communicator and provide a holistic management toward their cardiology issues / concerns. He also communicates in Chinese / Cantonese and Malay.
